What is Asbestosis?

Asbestos is the term coined for a medical condition that affects the tissue of the lungs due to an inhalation of asbestos or, exposure to asbestos fibers. Asbestosis is usually the result of long term exposure to asbestos and therefore the disease is very common in those working in certain industries. It is largely considered to be an occupational lung disease for this reason.
